Great photos. I need an explanation of the symbolism of the paints though. It actually reminds me of some of the Native American tribes. Some tribes were very elaborate and colorful in face painting.
umm you could compare to Holi to the Mardi Gras, lots of drinking, dancing and throwing colour on each other. It probably started as a spring festival but it also has its legends... what you see in the pic is colour splashed on a friend's face, I just liked the way it framed her eye and also how the blue connected with the pic above.

ReplyDeleteMardi Gras, ah. You would need lots of sparkle, glitz, shiny cheap beads. Very American with lots of over the top including many of the ladies shirts.
